What We Do
The South Carolina Association for Community Economic Development (SCACED) is building wealth one community at a time. We create economic opportunity in three ways:
Action
SCACED is actively working within distressed South Carolina communities. These programs promote sustainable community development and improve quality of living for low wealth families through access to savings, food and capital.
Advocacy
SCACED supports institutional and system changes that will positively impact low wealth communities and the non-profits that serve them. Members work collectively to influence public policy on both the state and federal level.
Organizational Development
SCACED helps non-profits, local branches of government and other organizations to conquer challenges and achieve sustainable results in their respective communities. SCACED members receive technical assistance, training and access to capital through funding alerts and relationship-building with local, state and national stakeholders.
