[Charleston, SC] February 9, 2022 -- South Carolina Community Capital Alliance (SCCCA) announced today the appointment of Prenita Mack, PMP, as Director & Asset Manager. In her role, Mack will lead the statewide effort to coordinate and build strategic partnerships among competitive CDFI’s to expand and increase economic equity by raising capital for the underserved and undercapitalized communities.
An advocate and enthusiast for entrepreneurs of color and minority business enterprises, Mack brings over a decade of experience in providing project management, marketing, fundraising, and executive support in the nonprofit and private sectors. Most recently, Mack served as client success manager at a nationwide marketing agency where she owned the strategic development of charting growth paths and an account management system for over 40 clients. Prior to that, she served in project management roles at Lowcountry nonprofits Coastal Community Foundation and Center for Heirs’ Property Preservation.
“Prenita will lead in a pivotal role by expanding and advancing the Alliance’s strategic initiatives,” said Jeanne Milliken Bonds, the SCCCA’s Board Chair. “On behalf of our board of directors, we are thrilled to have someone with her passion and experience.”
Launched in 2011, SCCCA is a statewide intermediary made up of a network of community development stakeholders, lenders, financiers, and investors focused on increasing capital resources for South Carolina’s most underserved and undercapitalized communities to support job creation opportunities. In 2017, SCCCA and South Carolina Community Capital, Inc. (Community Capital) announced a merger with Southern Association for Financial Empowerment (S.A.F.E.) in an effort to further community economic development in South Carolina.

Mack is a member of a Women of Project Management, the only community to support and amplify the voices of women and women of color in the project management industry worldwide. She is also a member of the global Project Management Institute (PMI) and the local PMI chapter in Charleston, SC.
Mack earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Furman University. She also earned her PMP® (Project Management Professional) global certification from the Project Management Institute.
